POSITION SUMMARY

:

Servers are responsible for providing customer service while serving food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner. Servers must be calm under pressure, detail oriented, focused on accuracy, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive to guest needs. You take ownership in delivering our guests' dining experience by your focus on quality, consistency, and detail to create positive memorable experiences.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the service brand behavior, genuine hospitality and by exceeding guest expectations.Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest serviceListens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problemsAssumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction GuaranteePerforms other duties as required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitalityProvides food and beverage service to guests in the restaurantProvides guest with overview of menu choicesTakes guest’s order – provides explanation of menu as appropriatePrepares order for presentation to guestsReplenishes waterMakes and pours coffee for the customersClears tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverwareCleans tables, chairs and floor areaResets table quicklyPolishes silver and folds linensAssists service team as necessary to meet and exceed the guests’ expectationsSets up beverage stations for appropriate shift by brewing coffee and setting out condiments, as appropriateOther duties as assigned/required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Understand and anticipate guests’ service needs.Be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to restaurant patrons and serviceFocus and attention to detail.Maintain good coordination and communications between front and back of the house operations.Exert physical effort in transporting food and beverage to guests.Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.Satisfactorily communicate in English with guests and coworkers.Minimum of 1 year experience as a food server preferred.Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.Ability to work weekends, holidays and a flex shift if neededKnowledge of federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations and policy regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated patrons.
