Summary:
To pack, process, and deliver clean linen and collect soiled linen throughout the hospital.

Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
-Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.

Experience and Training Required:
-Six (6) months general work experience.

-Strong problem-solving skills sufficient to evaluate and resolve complex patient problems. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to gather and present information in an organized manner.
-Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively and efficiently with patients, families, and all members of the multi-disciplinary team and external organizations. Excellent oral communication skills sufficient to deal effectively with internal and external customers at all levels as well as with people of all cultures.
-Ability to empathize with patients and families undergoing physical, spiritual and emotional stress.
-Good working knowledge of computer applications and systems.
-Highly functioning in a customer service setting. Demonstrated team, organizational and problem solving abilities.
-Demonstrates sensitivity to diversity.
-Must complete effective communication and navigation training to facilitate optimal delivery of outstanding customer service.
Level of Physical Demands:
-Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects
-Standing and/or walking most of the day.
-Ability to constantly push, or pull loaded wheeled linen bins weighing form 350-750 pounds and continually lift stacks of linen weighing over 20 pounds.
-Occasional exposure to blood, feces, odors, etc.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers.
