Asset & Wealth Management

The Asset & Wealth Management Division include Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and Marcus Savings business. We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. AWM partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.

Marcus Savings & Invest

Marcus Savings businesses comprised of the firm’s digitally led consumer businesses, which include deposits and invest businesses. Marcus Savings combines the strength and heritage of a 150-year-old financial institution with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. Through the use of machine learning and intuitive design, we provide customers with powerful tools that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity to help them make smarter decisions about their money.

Summary
The Marcus by Goldman Sachs team is seeking a consumer-centric, analytically-minded, creative and energetic Vice President to join the US Consumer Deposits Analytics team. In this role you’ll apply your consumer financial services industry experience and analytical skill sets to drive the analytics strategy, data infrastructure, and model development to drive growth and engagement of our savings, checking and Invest business. 

In your role: 

You will be leading data and analytics workstream to develop and implement the analytics infrastructure for a holistic environment across marketing channels, website, mobile app, and contact center to facilitate ongoing testing and personalization of our customer experience and engagement.  You will be working on designing data strategy and capabilities to derive business insights and drive business growth opportunities.  You will work with teams across engineering, digital storefront, business managers and marketing to evaluate new and alternative data sources and analytics tools.  You will lead and manage junior team members to develop automated reporting/measurement, advance tools and models to gain customer insights, draw conclusions and work with business partners to put those insights into action.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience with analytics, metrics and reporting in the financial services industry; consumer banking preferred Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results highlighting the broader commercial and strategic impact Bachelor or Advance degree in quantitative areas like Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines Prior experience developing data driven strategies in a deposits business or with B2C marketing analytics is preferred Strong quantitative and analytical skills and experience in working with large data sets and Big Data tools and stack (., SQL, Hadoop, . Experience with Tableau, Power BI or similar data visualization tools Experience with one or more modeling tools (R, Matlab, Octave, SPSS, SAS) and one or more mainstream programming language (Python, Java, C, Scala, C++, is preferred Strong project management skills; self-driven; ability to work independently and cross-functionally Competitive spirit with the ability to lead, motivate and build relationships with internal stakeholders
