Are you passionate about payments? Machias Savings Bank is hiring for a VP of Payment Operations

The VP, Payment Operations & Strategy will be responsible for the management and day to day operations of systems that deliver consumer and business customer financial services. They will manage the flow of transaction services conducted through the ATM network, Debit card services, and ACH electronic funds transfers and payments. They will formulate, recommend, and champion faster payments strategy to maximize customer service and internal efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of payment systems, have the desire and ability to lead project teams, and be committed to continuous growth and learning. They must be eager to lead a team and support employee development.

The qualified candidate should possess the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or 5-10 years related banking experience.
• Experience guiding payment strategy to maximize customer service and bank profitability.
• Knowledge of payments industry, faster payments initiatives, and regulatory agencies influencing the industry.
• Prior management/leadership experience is preferred.
• NACHA Accreditation Preferred
o AAP (Accredited ACH Professional)
o APRP (Accredited Payments Risk Professional)
