Responsible to provide excellence in teaching through the fulfillment of the mission and strategic goals of the College of Graduate, Online & Adult Learning (CGOAL). The Office of Adult & Graduate Studies (A&GS) offers Associate and Bachelor’s degrees in an online accelerated format.

What will it take to succeed in this position? Minimum Education and Experience: Master’s degree at a minimum with at least 18 graduate-level credits in the discipline in which you want to teach. Previous teaching experience with adults and online instruction is preferable but not required. Must be available to teach one evening per week for on-site and/or blended courses. Some courses are also available in the online format. Teaching assignments are not available every semester, only as needed depending on the class size. Continually nurture a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; serve as a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintain a kind, Christ-like attitude in dealing with and ministering to people within and outside of Northwestern; and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, doctrinal statement, and Declaration of Christian Community. Needed content areas include: Business: Accounting, Business Law, Finance, Healthcare Management, Human Resources, Management, Operations Psychology: Counseling, General Psychology and Development, Health Psychology including Pain and Stress, Intervention Strategies, Social Science Statistics and Research Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to maintain a flexible schedule Ability to integrate Christian worldview into classroom instruction Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, courteous and tactful manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and problem solving skills Knowledge and understanding of basic computer skills; ability to type accurately and use computer to carry out various job responsibilities (faculty member is responsible for providing his/her own computer and internet connection for work performed outside of the classroom) Understanding of and agreement with Northwestern’s Declaration of Christian Community and Doctrinal Statement is essential Ability to pass the background check upon hire and periodically throughout the course of employment Work Environment:

What are the benefits of working at Northwestern? When course enrollment minimum is met, Adjunct Faculty pay is $816 per credit. The rate will be prorated down if the course enrollment minimum is not met. Pay at Northwestern is determined by reviewing a combination of job-related factors which may include: internal/external pay equity, the salary structure/pay grade, or a candidate’s qualifications/experience for the job. The wage posted is not a guarantee and UNW reserves the right to make pay decisions based on economic and equity considerations.
