Hotel Houseman

Job Summary:

The Hotel Houseman at SpringHill Suites Cheraw will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and appearance of the hotel’s public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas.
This is a full-time, hourly position in the hospitality, located in Cheraw, South Carolina.
The individual in this role will work independently to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and organization in the hotel, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for our guests.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a full-time, hourly position with a compensation range of $11 to $13 per hour, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:

- Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, and cleaning bathrooms, to ensure a comfortable and welcoming stay for guests
- Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel, including the lobby, hallways, and restrooms, to ensure a clean and inviting atmosphere for guests
- Ensure all back-of-house areas, such as storage rooms and laundry rooms, are kept clean and organized
- Restock and organize housekeeping carts and closets to ensure efficient and timely completion of room cleaning
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are resolved
- Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting spaces and banquet rooms for events and meetings
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and employees
- Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
- Adhere to brand standards and hotel policies at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the hotel

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial position, preferred
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Understanding of safety and sanitation guidelines
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different cleaning techniques and products
