About This Role

We are seeking a Teacher’s Assistant to join our growing team This role will be a blend of direct patient interaction and general administration work. If you are passionate about providing patients with exemplary care, while being sensitive to their individual psychiatric conditions, you would be a great addition to our team.Our centrally located Chicago office is nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of North Center, not to mention the social events hosted on our fully furnished rooftopWhat You'll Do: Provide daily supervision and support for the learning environment across U18 programsImplement classroom behavior management strategies for patients as neededSet up and facilitate rooms for supervised study, ensuring room is equipped with appropriate suppliesDistribute printed work sent by email or printed from online resources.Scan and e-mail completed work back to school contactsManage, proctor and support the administration of assessments for each patient, including noting special instructions/testing accommodationsSet up computers/tablets for patients and support patients to connect to Compass Guest Wifi, in addition to securing all Compass technology when not in useMonitor patient technology use to ensure patients are following technology guidelinesEngage in frequent communication and collaboration with team membersCheck and respond to daily emails, voicemails and Teams messagesEnsure safe patient transitions from room to roomCommunicate patient requests with doctors/nurses/therapists/teachers, as neededSupport with walking patients to/from lobby when they arrive and need to leave, as needed.Administrative tasks such as data entry, attendance, and general paperworkMaintain patient privacy at all timesSupervise patient lunch period, as neededOther responsibilities as assigned Who You Are: Experience working with children and adolescentFlexibility is criticalExcellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalBachelor’s Degree – preferred
