JOB DESCRIPTION

The Registered Dietitian (RD) completes all required nutritional assessments and documentation according to state and federal regulations. The RD works within the facility to provide nutritional expertise and food service oversight to the facility kitchen operations and works as part of an interdisciplinary team.  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a registered dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Must maintain current licensure as a Registered Dietitian in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Long Term Care experience preferred
  • ServSafe or other similar national food safety certification preferred
  • Must maintain all appropriate registrations, licensure, continuing education credits, or other such requirements in good standing as needed to maintain employment
  • Sufficient knowledge of food production and distribution, to evaluate meal quality, dinning programs and texture modified diet preparation
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize when needed, be comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience with electronic charting (PCC preferred)
