PKL Services Inc. is contracted to maintain and operate Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-15SG and United States Air Force (USAF) F-15E aircraft and equipment assigned to the 366th Fighter Wing located at Mountain Home AFB (MHAFB), Idaho. PKL employees at this site are subject to a Union/Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) regarding employment terms and work rules.
Key responsibilities of the Flightline Weapons Technician include:
- When required, perform End-of-Runway (EOR) duties and weapons expediter IAW AFMAN 21-206 and DAFI 21-101. Which include tracking of weapons expenditures, tracking rounds fired and oversight of armament systems maintenance and loading operations.
- Install and remove all armament Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) and Normally Installed Equipment (NIE) to Facilitate Other Maintenance (FOM) or for repair action, to include acceptance and transfer inspections.
- Perform aircraft troubleshooting, repair actions, and perform aircraft armament systems functional checks and on-equipment Dash-6 inspection requirements on in-use AME.
- Maintain qualifications/certifications on munitions per the Test & Training Munitions List (TTML).
- Maintain qualification on designated weapons-related qualification tasks for the RSAF, to include installation/removal of P5 pods or similar pods.
- Ensure RSAF weapons technicians supervise the loading and unloading of one aircraft at a time. The contractor shall assist in training all aspects of aircraft loading/unloading operations.
- Perform duties as defined by applicable Air Force Instructions (AFIs), along with any USAF like functions typically performed within Armament Systems Specialist associated career field.
- Any and all other duties as directed by the Program Manager/Site Manager.
About you

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Minimum six (6) years previous experience in Aircraft Armament Systems weapons loading/maintenance or equivalent duties.
- Prior F-15 experience preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.
Compensation & Benefits

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- This position requires normal physical functions.
- Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
- May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
- Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions, including the F-15 cockpit.
- Normal color/depth perception and no record of emotional instability are required.
- May be required to work in areas in or near a hangar/ flight line that may be noisy at times.
- May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing thru a hazardous area.
