Job Summary

Under the guidance of the Director and Manager of Epic Training, the Epic Principal Trainer follows established policies, procedures, professional guidelines, adult learning principles, and evidence-based practice to align educational needs and identified training strategies of Tampa General Hospital including travel as needed. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Classroom training – ad hoc training sessions. Curriculum development – learning plans, QSG, lesson plans, e-learnings. Tip sheet development. Obtain operational sign off on materials. Hosts upgrade management, review nova notes, create upgrade session materials. Support open office hours. Rounding. Super user program. Attend operational/analyst meetings. Project meetings and developing curriculum, project environment build, project go live support. Environment (build master patients, build training users, configure mitosis spreadsheets, build user duplicator spreadsheets, build rooms and beds, build historical build users). Supporting Epic users during all phases of learning and Epic activities. Tickets, service requests. Innovation and process improvement.

Qualifications

Three (3) years experience working in a healthcare environment related to the primary Epic application with at least three (3) year of formal training experience.  Associate's Degree in healthcare or related field required.  Epic curriculum in primary Epic applications and/or TED certification required within 6 months of hire.  Epic Beacon certification preferred.
