RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and appliances to ensure they are in proper working order

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address any maintenance issues or safety hazards

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents, prioritizing urgent matters

  • Perform repairs and renovations to the building's structure, including painting, carpentry, and drywall repair

  • Maintain the grounds by removing garbage, snow and ice as needed

  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment inventory

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, including those related to hazardous materials and waste disposal

  • Assist with the setup and teardown of equipment and furniture for events and activities within the nursing home

  • Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for residents and employees

  • Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to maintenance and facility management.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED 

  • MUST have a Low Pressure Black Seal Certification 

  • Able to Communicate Clearly in English Verbally and in Writing

  • Excellent Interpersonal Communication Skills

  • Ability to work together in Supportive Team Atmosphere

  • Weekend Coverage Every Other Weekend

  • Customer Service Skills
