Description

The Executive Director of the Iredell Hospital Foundation is the chief development officer reporting directly to the President and CEO of Iredell Health System and to the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Foundation. The Executive Director is responsible for leading the strengthening a comprehensive fundraising program in support of the Foundation’s mission and goals. Specific emphasis is focused on annual giving, major giving, planned giving, grants and fundraising events. The Executive Director will strive to build a greater understanding and support for the Hospital’s and Foundation’s mission, vision and values in the region. The Executive Director is an ex-officio member of the Iredell Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and a member of the Management Team of Iredell Health System.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or other related field, MHA or MBA preferred. Five or more year’s nonprofit management experience in a foundation and/or development office High level strategic thinking and planning in a fundraising and friend-raising organization. Ability to envision and convey the organizations strategic future to the staff, board volunteers and donors. Strong written and oral communications skills. Strong public speaking ability. Strong work ethic with a high degree of energy. Ability to effectively communicate the organization’s mission and priorities to donors, volunteers and the overall community. Demonstrated ability to motivate and collaborate with staff, trustees and community partners. Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation. Ability to socialize with external constituents and prospective donors. Hospital experience preferred. Experience and skill in working with a Board of Directors and Community Foundation Boards. A history of successfully generating new revenue streams. Active fundraising experience. Excellent donor relations skills and understanding of the funding community. Previous success in establishing relationships with individuals and organizations of influence including funders, partner agencies and volunteers. Track record of success in leading fundraising campaigns and programs.
