POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is the primary financial partner for complex Indirect customers for the Geography Sales Team.  This position provides expertise regarding profitability, utilization of financial measures, spending control and optimization, and establishment and monitoring of internal controls. Candidate will assist in developing reporting automation for current reporting initiatives.  Candidate will assist in providing analytics and insights to the Sales Field to help drive sales growth and effectively manage trade spend.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, document and ensure adequate controls exist for the trade spending process including monitoring of TPM forecast accruals, planned spending and amounts available for planning for all customers in the assigned Sales Regions. 
  • Use critical thinking in the decision-making process to draw upon professional experience, market and industry knowledge, data and intuition.
  • Assist in analyzing customer specific requests from the Sales Field and partnering to develop financial P&Ls, analytics, scenarios, and ROI metrics to allow for fact-based decision making related to customer requests. 
  • Provide monthly analysis for TM1 vs. TPM Unit/Gross Sales Forecast Comparison and TPM Checkbook (vs PY & vs PF).
  • Providing insight and direction in the development of customer contracts, pricing and deal structures for proposed opportunities from Sales Field.
  • Participate on projects to assess trade spend effectiveness through return-on-investment analysis and incremental lift associated with promotions and develop recommendations to improve future top-line and bottom-line performance. 
  • Assist with the Initialization/Reinitialization baseline updates for key customers.
  • Utilizing systems to improve analytics and processes to drive data-based insights.
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting, Financial, or equivalent business function analysis.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the capabilities of transaction & reporting systems including, but not limited to SAP, Business Warehouse, TM1, or other local systems.
  • In-depth understanding of available reporting drill down capabilities, and ability to organize data in a way that adds value to analysis.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) communications skills with a demonstrated ability to work across functions & cultures and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at once, work under pressure, apply judgment and ask for aid in prioritizing as applicable.

Base Salary: $86,390 to $151,220

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
