Hello Thank you for your interest in joining the Wellspring team as a per diem/contingent Transportation Aide. As a statewide nonprofit serving seniors, families and children in need of support, we take a whole-person approach to our organization and delivery of our services because we believe we must find the strengths in people and build on these for lasting change to occur.

As a Transportation Aide with the Saginaw Senior Living Campus with Wellspring, you'll be part of a team of nurses, CNAs and senior support staff committed to helping seniors in Saginaw. In this position, you'll be directly supporting your community in Saginaw County to provide services to seniors. In this position, you'll bring a high school diploma or equivalent and have your Commercial Drivers License (CDL-C) - this is required. You will also have experience with driving a multi-person van or bus, a clean driving record and a positive attitude in all you do.

As a Transportation Aide, you will:

• Transport residents/clients to appointments as scheduled
• Operate and drive the bus on Activities outings
• Observe and report any physical and/or behavioral changes in residents/clients to nursing staff
  
• Work tactfully and cooperatively with residents/clients, families, visitors and the entire staff throughoutthe organization
• Flexible schedule and works overtime on occasion to meet the needs of the department
• Observe and report any physical and/or behavioral changes in residents to charge nurse
• Assist Activities Department when available
• Communicate with medical staff, and other department supervisors
