Warehouse Clerk

This position is responsible for collecting and preparing production processes for the Packagin and Shipping Departments, as weell as communicating and verifying data for the Finance Department, under the supervision of the Plant Superintendent and/or the Plant Controller. The candidate must work well in a team atmosphere, as well as independently, be a quick learner, dependable, and be a self-starter.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work in production databases to create work tasks, pack lists, BOL documents, work orders, and issue tags.

Reconcile packaging orders to delivery requests.

Set up loads, request rate quotes, and arrange carriers; manage dock scheduling for inbound trucks.

Place and release orders for rail cars.

Create and verify all shipping documents match before load is closed.

Assist in truck scale operations.

Maintain records of seed stock usage/returns to growers.

Provide support to Plant Controller.

Provide support and backup for Accounts Payable.

Provide support and backup to Purchasing Agent.

Receive incoming inventory into system.

Assist with inventory management such as weekly cycle counts, chemical inventory and annual physical inventory.

  Qualifications:

Associate degree in accounting preferred, but equivalent experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered. Excellent computer skills, including demonstrated ability to manage data sets. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Prior experience in ERP systems for inventory management. Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment. Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally. Ability to work with all levels of the organization.

The expected compensation range for this position is $25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending upon skills & experience.
