Job Summary:

Presidio is seeking a  Senior Cloud Managed Services Engineer  to join our team in a remote capacity. The Senior Cloud Managed Services Engineer will work with our customers on their mission-critical applications running on the AWS and Azure public clouds, providing both engineering guidance and technical support. Our team of engineers work hand in hand with our Professional Services teams, providing an end-to-end experience for our customers, and providing opportunities for career growth inside and outside of Cloud Managed Services. One thing about us – we don’t like doing the same thing twice: our engineers work to improve our customer experience through automation, so we can continue to solve interesting problems for our customers

Job Responsibilities:

Driver for the enhancement of the Managed Services delivery platform Mastering engineering operational best practices to provide effective support Being the subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure and providing senior technical hands-on experience in all infrastructure-related systems, tools, and applications. Utilize your deep experience and strong problem-solving skills to debug, resolve and provide root causes for complex issues without oversight Document resolutions to internal knowledge base and support cross training knowledge including leading training initiatives Managing intake and escalations to the client and internal teams, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues and roadblocks without intervention Be the Trusted Advisor to high profile customers around all operational aspects of their cloud environments Improve the optimization, redundancy, and stability of cloud systems, including proactive monitoring and management of services Flexible and willing to work outside core business hours as required, including on call and escalation support. Location covering continental US timezones,

Required Skills: 

Day cloud operations Cloud systems engineering (AWS and/or Azure) Cloud security and networking concepts and services AWS Organizations and Control Tower Hands-on DevOps in cloud environment Subject Matter Expert in multi-region and multi-cloud infrastructure support Experience with Cloud computing toolsets – CloudFormation, ARM, Terraform, Vault, Packer etc.  Experience in monitoring setup, configuration, and alert synthesizing, DataDog a plus Subject Matter Expert with EKS / Kubernetes monitoring best practices Experience providing a personalized support experience with deeper knowledge of customer environment Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting, prior networking experience is a plus Experience of distributed systems, APIs, cloud computing patterns, including automation creation and management

Additional Desired Skills: 

​Experience with managing of Git, JIRA, and ServiceNow including setup and customization  Tremendous attention to detail Effective communication and collaboration skills; solid interpersonal skills conducive to a team environment Extreme ownership to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve new and complex technical issues Self-driven & motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving Knowledge in end user computing and desktop cloud supporting including Workspaces Experience in creation of Automation toolsets (Terraform, Python scripts, etc.)

Education and Experience: 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and/or military experience + years experience working with Systems Engineering (AWS/Azure) + years of experience in a designated customer-focused support role Intermediate/Architect level Cloud service provider certifications are required day
