Job Title: Psychologist - Locum Contract 

13-week contract assignment *option to extend or transition upon mutual interest

Job Details

• Weekly Pay Range: $3,500 - $4,046
• Start Date: 11/13/2023
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8 Hour Days
• Hours Per Week:  40

Duties:

• Plan and oversee non-medical psychological service programs within the facility.
• Coordinate and lead personnel engaged in delivering psychological services to inmates.

Skills Required:

• Conduct thorough psychological screenings and assessments through record review and clinical interviews.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary mental health team to gather and provide information on patient psychological issues.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individual treatment plans based on needs and functioning levels.
• Conduct regular rounds in confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health needs.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques for caseload individuals.
• Provide crisis interventions, counseling, and assessments to address inmate needs.
• Consult with various staff members to gain insights into problem behaviors and changes in mental health conditions.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Doctoral degree in Psychology 
• # of years’ experience in Corrections: 1 year of consecutive experience in the Corrections Environment required. 
• [Required Licenses or Certifications] unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state where practice occurs ( TN , GA , OH ) 
• Two years of clinical psychology experience
