Litigation Assistant/Paralegal

Job Description
Seeking a litigation assistant/paralegal that comes from a defense law firm (Labor and Employment, insurance defense or general liability). This is a remote role, but the potential candidate must live in California.
Most of the duties are litigation secretary but would like someone that could do some paralegal work as well. Need a heavy hitter that can assist through trial. Looking for solid skills (3-5+ years) and tech savvy.
Defense firm specializes in representing employers in legal matters related to workplace issues. These firms typically handle cases involving employment discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination lawsuits, harassment allegations, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. Their primary goal is to protect the interests of employers and ensure they are in compliance with state and federal employment laws. Defense attorneys in these firms work to defend their clients against employee claims and litigation, providing legal advice, conducting investigations, and representing employers in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings when necessary.
TOP THREE THINGS: 1. Strong litigation skills through trial
2. Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred
3. State & Federal court filing experience
