Responsibilities

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Hospital Lead Greeter will assist the Manager in all functions related to the overseeing the Hospital Greeters in welcoming and assisting patients, their families and visitors entering the hospital. The Lead Greeter will assign, coordinate and performs all tasks related to the function of a Hospital Greeter while answer questions, provide information such as patient floor and room number, utilize internal software to register visitors, and direct people to the hospital location they need, thereby creating a caring and efficient atmosphere. The Lead also serves as the main point of contact in the Manager’s absence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Report to manager opportunities for improvement and service excellence. Schedule and place all Greeter staff on a monthly schedule. Completes mytime updates and payroll at the end of each pay period. Ascertains patients and visitors needs and directs them accordingly, including visitor registration. Provides assistance to patients and visitors by assisting with wheelchairs, escorting or transporting people who may need help to their destination. Monitors overall appearance of the hospital entrance. Completes daily rounding of all posts. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

Maintains appropriate levels of necessary supplies and equipment. Participates in hospital safety drills and maintains compliance with standard safety knowledge. Takes responsibility for and participates in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Previous supervisory office/healthcare experience preferred.

Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University.
