Summary

Recruiter will research, develop and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the Tribe and its Enterprises.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinating with internal departments/management to determine recruitment needs.Assists department directors with creating/updating job descriptions and compiling interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position.Evaluating applications and screening candidates via calls or emails, as well as facilitating pre-interview assessments, background checks and completing references.Determining candidate selection and job requirements for vacant positions.Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.Maintains online company employment portals, recruitment sites, online job boards, social media platforms, as well as print media, posters, and flyers, when required.Creating, managing applications and hiring processes via electronic applicant tracking.Recruits, schedules, prepares interview packets and facilitates interviews between candidates and management, and extend jobs offers to successful candidates and salary negotiations and conducts new hire orientationPrepares hire packets and /or special requests for Tribal Council.Documenting processes and fostering good relationships with potential candidates and past applicants.Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.Creates, proposes and implements employee recognition programs.Oversee process and procedures on tribe’s volunteer program and contracted positions.Organize, attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline.Generate monthly reports for the HR Director recruiting initiatives, turnover rates, etc.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of human resources administration including recruitment, testing, selection, classification and job analysis, compensation administration, employee development, and performance appraisal.Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules.Research and reporting methods, techniques, and procedures.Computers and software programs (e.g. Microsoft software packages) to conduct research, assess information, and/or prepare documentation.Maintain confidential information and deal discreetly with confidential and sensitive situations.Anticipate and diagnose problems, identify possible solutions, and resolve the problem or recommend the most appropriate solution.Ability to read, understand, interpret, and explain services, policies, procedures, and technical terminology related to human resources and apply them to specific situations.Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, using appropriate English grammar.Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of business including other employees, managers and executives, vendors, consultants, contractors, and the public.Plan, coordinate, and organize work activities to effectively meet deadlines.Ability to work remotely from different Cocopah locations as necessary.

Qualifications

Bilingual a plusAll applicants must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License.Must provide current proof of vehicle insurance.Must be able certifiable through Arizona Gaming Department, must be able to pass DPS/FBI Fingerprint Background Check.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred. Associates degree in Human Resources or related field, combination of education and 3 years related work experience may be considered.3-years work experience in related field is required.
