OverviewCatholic Health(CH) was founded in 1997 to oversee the Diocese of Rockville Centre's healthcare organization, which now includes six hospitals, three nursing homes, a regional home care, and hospice group and a community based agency for persons with special needs. St. Charles Hospital is a 243-bed, acute care community hospital located in Port Jefferson, NY.
St. Charles is a proud member of Catholic Health, the healing ministry of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, and has served the residents of the Three Village area for more than 110 years.
The non-profit hospital features three centers of excellence: Maternal/Child services, Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. St. Charles also offers services in general surgery, colon/rectal surgery, bariatric surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, epilepsy, stroke care, Female Pelvic Floor Disorders Center, and a nationally accredited Sleep Disorders Center.

Job Details
Hospitalist Responsibilities:
Provides and manages the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients alongside an excellent ancillary staff with a Rapid Response Team. The successful candidate will work in a collegial and professional environment in a 7 day Block schedule. Responsibilities include: providing full or partial services to private attending physicians who elect to utilize the Hospitalist Services, attend monthly Hospitalist Meetings, get involved in quality as well as Patient Experience committees, be able to work in a team environment, be able to provide high quality care, be able to manage an average patient caseload of 15-17 patients, and able to adapt and be flexible to new CMS regulations.
Hospitalist Qualifications:
Doctorate degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine ACLS/BLS Certified Trained in Family Practice or Internal Medicine Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Practice.New Grads welcome
The candidate will have full time supervision by our excellent Hospitalist team. The position offers a great learning experience while enjoying the practice of clinical medicine.
Salary Range
USD - USD /Yr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
