At the present time, vacanices exists for part-time Instructional Assistant positions within the st Century Community Learning Center Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. The Instructional Assistant will assist the Student Support Specialists in providing academic support for students (grades K - 5), including English Language Learners, in the Reading Area School District. This position is for the summer only.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred Experience working with the applicable age group preferred Computer and current technology knowledge required Must have Act and clearances and federal criminal history background check (available through CCIU upon hire) Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation


Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with planning and implementation of supplemental educational programs Assist with regular communication with participating students' parents, teachers, guidance counselors and administrators, as necessary Assist with facilitation of the involvement of parents in the education of their children and in the dissemination of information, using translation/interpretation services, as needed Assist with the planning and implementation of parent involvement activities within the st Century Community Learning Center program

Expected hours
th and Penn Elementary- Reading and Riverside Elementary
Program Dates: July , 4-August 8, 4
Mon - Thurs, 8am-pm (staff arrive at 7:am and leave after student dismissal)
No program on Fridays

Hourly rate (3-4 School Year):
