Position: Agricultural Loan Officer

Our Agricultural Loan Officers, or AG Lenders, play a pivotal role in assisting farmers and rural residents secure essential funds for their operations, property acquisitions, and more. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture lending relationships with existing agricultural customers.
  • Proactively engage with potential borrowers through direct outreach efforts.
  • Educate customers on various loan types, credit options, and associated terms.
  • Analyze and evaluate all types of credit information to make informed lending decisions.
  • Utilize agricultural and business expertise to provide innovative financial solutions tailored to solve customer challenges in ongoing farming operations.
  • Manage and expand existing loan portfolios effectively.
  • Actively participate in community and industry events to enhance networking and business development opportunities.
  • Prepare thorough credit analyses for assigned portfolios, either independently or with the support of credit analysts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural lending preferred.
  • Credit and underwriting experience is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural practices and local market trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
