Olsten Staffing is assisting a well-established industrial company in the surrounding areas in the search for an experienced and eager Financial Officer. The Financial Officer will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting budget, and forecast preparation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the organization by providing accurate and timely financial information, as well as implementing effective financial strategies to drive sustainable growth. The Financial officer will handle payroll duties.

Hours:

Monday-Friday

8AM-6PM

Salary range:

$80,-$90, based on experience

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the finance department, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguard company assets.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a similar role, preferably within the industrial sector.
  • Proven experience as a controller for an industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
