Job Summary

We are looking for a Central Services Technician I to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in Cambridge, MA.

In the CST role you can do that by ensuring that animal caging, equipment, housing, and support areas are sanitized. Overall, helping to ensure the health and well-being of the animals, as well as the integrity of the research.

What you will do 

In this role you will provide cleaning and maintenance of laboratory animal caging, equipment, and cage preparation areas as well as cleaning of animal support areas.

You will be tasked with the following

Transporting caging and equipment between animal areas and cage washrooms. Receiving and storing feed, bedding, and supplies. Ensure all logbooks, checklists, and other records are completed in a timely fashion. Conduct and collect various aseptic sampling for the monitoring of water quality. Sanitize animal racks and equipment. Inspect enrichment devices, cages, and other items.  Provide quality assurance to the cagewash area.

Job Qualifications

A candidate that possesses a high school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent required. Minimum of six months experience working in a laboratory animal facility performing cage wash duties or working with glassware cleaning or a commercial dishwashing operation. 

The pay range for this position is $20.00-21.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
