Job Description

A leasing agent researches mineral ownership for tracts of land and secures the leasing rights for energy producers to extract those minerals, specifically natural gas. A leasing agent will also educate mineral owners about natural gas exploration by meeting with them personally and explaining proposed production plans in the area where their property is located.

Qualifications

Ability to synthesize vast amounts of information, attention to detail, strong communication and organization skills to perform negotiations with landowners, diligence to focus on the project at hand and see it through to its completion, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Flexible or same-day travel.
