Acuity is seeking an Imaging Processor to assist with the electronic filing of commercial, personal, and claims documents and electronically assigning quote numbers. Documents are received on paper or electronically via fax/e-mail. Documents are also retrieved from websites. Documents are split by document type and properly labeled with a policy, quote, or claim number. Errors are resolved by searching through scanned paper documents and electronic databases.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Electronically file and process commercial, personal, and claims e-mails received through the Automatic Content Manager System (ACMS).
  • Receive commercial, claims, personal, and accounting documents to be scanned from the mailroom and other internal departments. Batch paper into appropriate document types and prep them for scanning using different guidelines for commercial, claims, and personal.
  • Scan paper documents.
  • Resolve errors and clear the rescan e-box.
  • Retrieve documents from industry websites and storage mediums, such as cloud, disc, flash drive etc.
  • Locate scanned paper documents as requested, including requests for original paperwork from claims adjusters or commercial underwriters.
  • Rotate and purge processed paperwork.
  • Perform scanner maintenance.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential to support paperless processing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Open mail and enter payments in the Cash Room.
  • Rack and close agency mail in the Mail Room.
  • Assemble personal lines renewal policy print.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to follow instructions and attend to details.
  • Ability to organize and work independently with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and be flexible with work assignments and hours.
  • Willingness to contribute and participate in team meetings.
  • Requires on-site hours to support the needs of the team. Can accommodate a reasonable split between remote and onsite hours.
  • Computer and keyboard shortcut knowledge. Ability to achieve 6,000 - 6,500 keystrokes per hour on alphanumeric data entry with minimal errors.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
