KUTV, a multi-platform media company that provides important storytelling content on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and a host of digital platforms, is looking for a take-charge  Digital Multimedia Journalist (MMJ)  to cover Southern Utah. This employee would be based in Washington County, Utah, near St. George.

We are seeking a motivated, energetic, creative, and aggressive content creator who has a passion for covering our local communities on the every KUTV platform, including , our mobile app, and social media platforms. The ideal candidate should also have sound writing skills, a great work ethic, and a can-do attitude. This Digital MMJ position is ideal for someone with at least two years of professional newsroom experience. Applicants with a strong portfolio of student work will also be considered.

No day will look the same as a Multi-Media Journalist, however, the main responsibilities of the role will include:
 

Create, shoot, write, and edit meaningful stories focused on advocacy and accountability Provide news as directed from the news management team Engaging with local community members Reviewing material for fairness, accuracy, and balance Work closely with all members of the news team

Proven knowledge and experience working with current media creation tools Excel in storytelling across multiple platforms Strong writing and copy-editing skills are a must Must be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
 

This Digital MMJ position is ideal for someone with at least two years of professional newsroom experience. Applicants with a strong portfolio of student work will also be considered.
