Primary Responsibilities

The ability to work as a team, follow orders, and complete tasks as assigned by supervisor. Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures Determine the appropriate welding equipment, settings, and methods based on requirements Set up components for welding according to specifications Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded Align components using fixtures, tape measure, levels, speed square, etc. and clamp pieces Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) Prepare trailers and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps Assist other welders in the completing of work to ensure work is completed as efficiently as possible Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards. Follow prescribed procedures and guidelines. Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and booth. Follow all company rules and policies. Follow all safety rules and quality standards. Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques involved in the effective manufacture of goods a plus. Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required Must have the ability to use and read a tape measure
