SUMMARY

The Senior Application Analyst, reporting to the Director of IT Applications, will be part of a collaborative, dynamic team and responsible for the design, development and support of business applications aligned to key processes in a specific business area (Finance, Operations, etc.). The Senior Analyst is expected to act as a liaison with business customers, possessing both functional and technical skills and knowledge . This is a hybrid role, but position is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day operations, projects, enhancements, and upgrades. Business and system support of relevant business application for their designated business area. Business process analysis and design. Configuration of IT business applications to meet business requirements. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Collaborate internally with all IT groups (DBA, Infrastructure, Integration, BI, and other Applications) to maximize the efficiency and accuracy of integrations and application environments. Gather business requirements, create functional specifications, and create and manage test plans. Work in conjunction with 3rd party support vendors/personnel. Demonstrate a willingness to expand knowledge and capabilities in support of the business area. Accountable to deliver on production support SLA’s. Responsible for issue resolution and root cause analysis. Assist in developing permanent solutions to persistent application or integration issues/problems. Maintain Help Desk tickets using JIRA. Effectively interact with the end users to understand the nature and significance of application issues, conveying solutions, and monitoring the execution and results of user-acceptance testing (UAT). Adhere to Change Control policies and procedures. While not expected to be the norm, off-hours support may be needed to address issues affecting business operations. Collaborate with PMO on project priorities and project execution.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related IT/business field. 5+ years’ experience supporting an enterprise HRIS application (UKG experience preferred) or equivalent IT experience. 10+ year of general IT application support experience. Deep understanding of how an HRIS supports HR business processes. Experience configuring an HRIS to meet business requirements. Experience with HRIS data and integration architecture (API’s, reporting, etc) Experience with additional cloud application admin/management/support a plus (DocuSign CLM, OneStream)

Language and Technical Skills Requirements:

Broad understanding and hands on support, development, and configuration of IT business applications. Deep understanding of how application technology supports business processes across modules. Proven ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Demonstrated business process mapping skills. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Strong data analysis, process analysis, design, and testing skills. Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills. Ability to solve complex problems independently and to seek out and generate innovative solutions. Ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams on overlapping projects.

Preferred Skills:

Specific experience with Armada ERP applications (UKG, JDE, Blue Yonder). Business application project lead experience. Experience with cloud application support.

Work can be performed remotely or in an office environment with normal noise levels. Involves prolonged sitting, and computer usage. Work may involve limited travel for training, conferences, and visits to Vendor, Distributor and Hub One center shipping and warehouse facilities as well as carrier terminals. Position is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
