Title: Summer Internship – Calibration (CalSource)

Schedule: Part Time – ~20 hours per week – Flexible Schedule

Location : On -Site (Syracuse)

Since our founding in 1967, Applied Technical Services has established a reputation with businesses, industries, and the legal professions for successfully uncovering facts in Metallurgy and Materials Testing, Chemical Analysis, Nondestructive Testing, Forensic and Consulting Engineering, Mechanical Testing, and Calibration Services. This position is going to be with CalSource, a calibration specific company based in the Syracuse, NY location. 

Internship Overview:

As an intern on the Calibration team at ATS, you will have the opportunity to partner with our team to support the calibration projects for our customers. The internship is going to include direct hands-on product calibration work to utilize your knowledge and gain great experience in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with leaders and other engineers/technicians to conduct hands-on product calibrations in our growing lab. Common tasks performed could include, but not limited to: calibration of hand tools, multimeters, micrometers, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, length scales, temperature/humidity gauges, dimensional tooling and electrical tests, length scales and/or temperature/humidity gauges. Opportunity to learn and apply the calibration industry standards and gain hands on experience.

Requirements:

Minimum of high school diploma Strong attention to detail and safety procedures Basic math skills Mechanically inclined Ability to work with a team
