Our staff is well-trained and highly skilled qualities that are vital to maintaining excellence in care and y Health Medical Group – North State a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation is a multi-specialty clinic with seven locations in Redding and Red Bluff. Along with our local affiliated Dignity Health hospitals (Mercy Medical Center – Mt. Shasta Mercy Medical Center – Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital) we offer an integrated care delivery system that provides high quality compassionate care in family medicine internal medicine OB/GYN cardiology and interventional cardiology neurology and neuro-interventional general surgery endovascular surgery and orthopedic surgery including general total joints and spine.
Responsibilities
The Manager, Clinic Operations is expected to provide visionary leadership to maximize the effectiveness of all service delivery systems, financial performance. Engages staff and cultivatea a care center culture that prioritizes humankindness and patient-centric care consistent with Dignity Health and the medical group's "way" and culture. Effectively manages all operational aspects of the assigned care center(s). Works closely with staff and providers to ensure that all fiduciary and care center goals are met. Proactively determines workload priorities through planning, coordination and managing staff and providers to meet the care center's administrative, operational and support requirements. This position may have access to third party credit card information and transactional systems (cash registers, point of sale devices, applications supporting credit card transactions, and reports or other documents containing credit card information) from single transactions or a single card at a time. This position will also have access to patient protected health information (PHI). The Manager, Clinic Operations has a responsibility to safeguard patient health and financial information.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of Health Care Management Experience Demonstrated ability to effectively lead productive, engaged teams and work with providers. Knowledge of business and management principles, budget control and accounting principles, including capital budgeting, cost accounting, professional and patient billing; and ability to apply these principles to a health care environment. Knowledge of or ability to learn the budgeting process, management reports, accounting, purchasing and patient billing systems. Knowledge of computers, systems and software, including word processing, spreadsheet, data base, clinic information systems, electronic medical records, billing systems, and other application packages. Health insurance knowledge of HMO, PPO and capitated risk plan contracts as they relate to providers and practices. Bachelor's degree in business, finance or healthcare administration or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Is a visible, results oriented, and nimble leader with a reputation of doing what it takes to get the job done while ensuring strong interpersonal relationships; puts the interests of the organization ahead of personal interests. Strong leadership and management skills to provide planning, coordination and direction to staff and ability to propose innovative solutions to challenges. Ability to effectively direct and motivate others. Planning, problem-solving and critical thinking skills to anticipate, avert, or resolve issues in staffing, scheduling and task allocation. Ability to be flexible to maintain continuity of programs while considering individual staff needs and goals. Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure with a minimum of direction. Ability to understand and implement the requirements of providing patient care within a highly regulated and constantly changing environment. Ability to understand health care issues within a broad perspective, and to apply these issues to the care center setting.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous out-patient practice & healthcare management experience. Previous management experience in a union environment. Prior managed care or integrated delivery systems experience.
