Summary of Job Duties

:The appointment of Instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery shall reflect UAMS’s prevailing pledge to promote academic excellence, provide patient care and promote the health & wellness of Arkansans. As an Associate Professor, it is imperative to provide coordination, continuity, and consistency in patient care, community outreach, and medical education. Appointments may have a varied responsibility in the areas of patient care, medical education, and/or scholarly activities.


Qualifications:

PhD degree PLUS (two) 2 years in biological sciences or related field required.

Responsibilities:

Doing research related with the use new, low-cost lasers and photoacoustic flow cytometry for early diagnosis cancer, infection, and cardiovascular disorders. Testing and demonstrating with biological phantoms. Communicating regularly and in a timely fashion with the mentor regarding research and other issues relevant to the operation of the systems in the lab. Assisting with the daily operations of the laboratory Assisting with the supervision of the other members of the laboratory
