Shop Foreman

Job Summary:
Genesis of Charlotte is seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to oversee the operations of our automotive service center in Matthews, North Carolina.
The Shop Foreman will be responsible for managing a team of technicians and ensuring the efficient and safe completion of repairs and maintenance tasks on customer vehicles.
This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily activities of automotive service center
- Assign and prioritize tasks to technicians based on skill level and workload
- Monitor progress and quality of repairs and maintenance services
- Train and mentor new technicians
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Keep accurate records of work performed and maintain service logs
- Communicate with management regarding any issues or concerns
- Stay up to date with advances in automotive technology and repair techniques
- Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and computer systems
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and protocols
- Flexibility to work on weekends and extended hours if needed
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
