Overview

The Underwriting Auditor will be working primarily in the Post-Bind process. When needed will complete internal underwriting audits for both New Business and Renewal accounts for our Commercial Property and Casualty division. Eventually this will include WC reviews. Investigates and verifies accounts are written within our company guidelines and underwriting authority. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Demonstrates knowledge and skill performing Post-Bind reviews with some supervision on a daily basis involving collaboration with risk quality assessment, etc. Performs a detailed and documented review on new business accounts, including but not limited to, validating account eligibility per company guidelines, appetite guide and individual underwriting authorities. Collaborates with compilation of monthly and quarterly post-bind results. Ability to compile and document results in a clear and concise manner with conclusions that are supported by the work performed. Communicates audit results collaboratively with audit manager to underwriters, underwriting managers and product managers. Proactively engages with business managers to discuss audits and maintain relationships. Ability to keep current with latest underwriting guidelines and authorities to determine acceptability of risk. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Required:

Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3 years Multi-Line UW experience in systems like AmTrust rating engines in both WC and CPP along with on-line entry work. Detail oriented with skills in advanced Excel, Word, Power Point, Sharepoint, ISO class tables all lines, PAAS lookup and application to decision-making. Knowledge of both WC & ISO coverages and forms Strong organizational and analytical skills Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including teams. Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
