5-Axis CNC Programmer

This position is responsible for creating and implementing NC programs and cutting processes using NX CAM. This position requires communicating directly with customers as well as process engineers within the company.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Create NC programs for 5-axis machines with NX CAM Support the process engineering team and realization of new projects and equipment Assist with customer part runoffs and final acceptance Travel to customer sites for training and troubleshooting

Education & Experience Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree of Applied Science in Industrial Technology or Mechanical Engineering OR 5 years’ experience working with CNC metal cutting machines including CAM programming Strong mechanical aptitude and in-depth knowledge of part prints and advanced skills in metal cutting principles Understanding of component drawings and models. Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders and workpiece clamping devices. CNC control experience (Siemens 840D knowledge preferred) CAM programming experience with NX CAM Experience with CAD software 2D and 3D 5-Axis machining experience a plus

General Requirements:

Excellent customer service skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong math skills and understanding of mechanics Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Willing to work overtime as needed Willing to travel domestic and international
