Enjoy working in a modern and progressive 213-bed, not-for-profit acute care community hospital that provides state-of-the-art comprehensive medical services, personalized attention, and care to residents of its 22-town service area in Southeastern Connecticut. It is one of seven hospitals within Hartford HealthCare - Connecticut's largest, most comprehensive, integrated health system. Hartford Healthcare is a fully integrated health system that includes a tertiary-care teaching hospital, an acute-care community teaching hospital, an acute-care hospital and trauma center, three community hospitals, the state's most extensive behavioral health network, a large multispecialty physician group, a regional home care system, an array of senior care services, a large physical therapy and rehabilitation network and an accountable care organization.
The OBGYN group that admits here is also looking to add 1-2 providers. They are an 8-provider team and do 800 deliveries annually with a good mix of OB and GYN. They do a lot of GYN and are the only women's healthcare group in the area.
This large community is located on the banks of the CT River and is only 20 minutes from the coast and New London, a half hour to Hartford/Providence, and a little over an hour to Boston and Cape Cod. Outdoor activities abound, with great hiking, fishing, skiing, and all watersports. The community provides excellent public and private schools, restaurants, and easy access to the big cities.
