Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle ETL Backend Developer to join our team. This role is crucial in developing, maintaining, testing, and debugging software to meet specific requirements within a Windows client/server environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PL/SQL and Oracle Database development, with recent hands-on experience in ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development & Maintenance: Develop, maintain, test, and debug software applications using PL/SQL and Oracle technologies to meet defined requirements.
  • ETL Processes: Implement and optimize Near Real Time Oracle ETL processes. Document and enhance ETL technical designs.
  • System Analysis & Design: Analyze user needs and assist in the creation of specifications. Formulate system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding.
  • Software Design: Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain programs.
  • Testing & Debugging: Test and debug assigned projects. Assist in the testing of projects developed by other team members.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation for new and existing software.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve escalated issues from the support staff, making necessary corrections to data and/or software.
  • Compliance: Develop software that meets requirements for insurance carriers and regulatory groups. Adhere to departmental standards and guidelines.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience with PL/SQL and Oracle Database development.
    • Recent experience (within the past year) in Oracle PL/SQL development.
    • Detailed knowledge of Near Real Time Oracle ETL processes and Oracle PL/SQL runtime improvement.
    • Experience in ETL PL/SQL development and documenting ETL Technical Designs.
    • Experience with Oracle 19C and Oracle RAC is a plus.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of language development and application design.
    • Analytical and interpretive skills with strong organizational abilities.
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet or exceed performance competencies.
