Hello Thank you for your interest in joining the Wellspring team as a full-time Visitation Specialist. As a Visitation Specialist with the Wellspring family services team in Jackson, you will be part of a team committed to delivering exceptional services to children and families in Jackson County. You will bring professional experience working with children and families. You will have a high school diploma, and a current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance. You will also be reliable, and have a responsible attitude, a compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do.

As a Visitation Specialist, you will:

  • Schedule and coordinate visitation with children, their parents, relatives and siblings.
  • Provide transportation for individuals served if needed.
  • Monitor, supervise and coach parents during visitation.
  • Make periodic home visits to families to support and monitor behavior interventions.
  • Follow through with case planning and treatment services.
  • Provide documentation of all client interactions on paper and  in computer databases.
  • Communicate concerns and/or significant observations regarding clients verbally and in writing when necessary.
  • Provide child care for children while caregivers attend parenting classes, support groups and other required appointments.
  • Assist the foster care team with other administrative tasks like copying, filing, recruitment events and other functions as requested.
  • Assist in keeping paper and electronic client records current, accurate and compliant.
  • Ensure visitation rooms are kept clean and organized, and toys are regularly disinfected.
  • Maintain accurate records, confidentiality and timely reports.
  • Attend staff meetings and treatment planning meetings as required.
  • Transport clients when needed.
  • Integrate learning from required training into day-to-day responsibilities.

  • You'll be in a temporary position working August 1st, 2024 through December 31st, 2024.
  • Hybrid Remote: You'll be home-based and traveling into the community to see clients throughout Jackson County.
