Responsibilities and Duties: Leads execution of overall distribution operations including staffing resource requirements (inclusive of appropriate after hour service coverage); and the scheduling, routing and dispatching of medical equipment technicians (drivers), equipment recovery technicians and couriers to meet the patient care standards. Establishes and coordinates inventory stocking guidelines to ensure customer orders are fulfilled. Collaborates with purchasing to meet or improve set capital spending limits. Utilizes and supports technology that drives efficiency and productivity improvement throughout the distribution process, i.e. Brightree and Apacheta Provides overall leadership to distribution and warehouse staff to ensure manageable work schedules are created, on-call and overnight staffing is consistent and service levels are standardized. Collaborates with Customer Service to ensure patient experience is repeat-ably achieved through the entire distribution process. Continuous staff education, training, and compliance enforcement with patient care standards and process protocol; and industry laws, codes and regulations (i.e., ACHC, FDA, DOT, OSHA, etc.); inclusive of routine (quarterly) performance measurement assessments for staff competency and productivity. Responsible for overall cleanliness, physical organization and functional operation of distribution. Maintain and enforce compliance with delivery operations protocol inclusive of established standards for equipment setup, patient education, patient communication, patient documentation, equipment management, vehicle inspection, vehicle maintenance, and clinical testing equipment calibration. Establishes Continuous Improvement Process to assess quality, service and cost relative to patient outcome and productivity standards. Lead and direct branch activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations to maximize profits by performing the goals and expectations identified for multiple branch locations. Qualifications: Education: College degree preferred; high school graduate required. Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Physical Requirements: Minimum of five years of progressively responsible distribution management experience, HME preferred Knowledge of management practices and evaluation techniques. Customer oriented with good oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (a team player). Ability to develop, organize and coordinate complex routing schematics. Normal office/clerical motor skills in addition to extensive computer and telephone usage and ability to lift 100 pounds. Pay starts no less than $49,387/year
