Responsibilities:

1 Answer the switchboard telephones in a timely manner after one to three rings.

2 Be courteous, caring, pleasant and friendly when answering the telephone and greeting visitors.

3 Provide non-medical information for visitors regarding facility policy.

4 Ensure that all visitors, residents, vendors and contractors sign the appropriate registration book.

5 Contact departments to pick up deliveries of various parcels.

6 Limit traffic in the Lobby and Administrative Office.

7  Maintain resident information and maintain confidentiality of all information of residents.

8 Participate in fire and disaster drills by announcing appropriate codes and giving direction to fire/police departments.

9  Contact MOD with patient/visitor concerns.  Complete Concern form if necessary.

1  Enforce Pass Privilege Protocol.  Contact immediate supervisor regarding problems by ensuring all patients leave the building the appropriate pass as described by their physician.

1  Should maintain excellent attendance by arriving on time for work.

1  Must punch in and out daily to ensure all hours worked are recorded on timecards.

1  Leave personal devices (cell phone, tablet, laptops) locked in a drawer.

1  Keep the front desk and area clean, neat, and organized.

1  Overhead announce “Visiting Hours will be over in 15 minutes” at 7:45 pm.

1  Overhead page “Visiting hours are over” at 8:00 pm.

1  Announce Rock & Roll in a timely manner (every 2 hours)

1  When switching days with co-workers notify supervisor.  Only supervisor can alter the schedule.

1  Other duties as assigned by Human Resources, Admissions, and Business Office.

 

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Experience in a health care facility
