About Zenith’s Cultural Convergence Practice
Zenith’s Cultural Convergence practice consists of subject matter experts in the areas of Inclusive Marketing, Multicultural Marketing, and DEI Marketing. The Cultural Convergence practice reflects the various needs that clients have when it comes to reaching diverse consumers and creating inclusive media & marketing initiatives that drive business. Our goal is to lead with human insights that fuel results, inspire creative partnerships & platforms that are representative of the intersectional diversity of our world & consumer, while also positively impacting communities.
Role Overview:
We are currently looking for a Planner, Multicultural Strategy to support the day-to-day media planning and strategy functions for a major financial services client. This person will assist a team in the development, execution, and stewardship of media plans for client’s business and report directly to the Supervisor, Multicultural Strategy.
Role Objectives:
Media Strategy and Cultural Insight
Responsible for the development of Multicultural strategy across various campaigns/initiatives with a culture-first mindset and using culture-first data that enables success in achieving business goals via paid media Identify capabilities and composition of a wide range of media channels to determine which would most effectively reach diverse audiences and resonate culturally Evaluates and assesses media performance to determine the extent to which the original media objectives and strategies were accomplished Research, interpret and evaluate available cultural marketing and research data to develop insight driven media strategies and recommendations to address client briefs Responsible for managing multicultural projects and resourcesCollaborate, Inspire and Influence
Effectively communicate and present to top management and clients Partner with broader strategy teams to closely supervise the implementation and execution of Multicultural media plansCultural Ideation, budget allocation across diverse audiences and broad audiences, and establishment of benchmarks for control Accountable for accuracy and media intelligence Key point of coordination and communication across inter-agency teams, internal teams, and partnerships Detailed management of the Multicultural budgets and billing across the portfolioManaging the process and procedure for client set up, billing and all administrative functions Act as a Resource for others to resolve questions/problems related to Multicultural media planningQualifications

This candidate is not easily discouraged, nor are they risk-averse. The see challenges as opportunities to engage clients and help bring forth culture-first solutions They love creating the ‘never been done” but aren’t discouraged when recommendations are not approved They are a self-starter and not easily intimidated. They will be part of a very friendly and collaborative specialty unit within Zenith and are encouraged to not hold it back if they disagree or have an idea to deliver success for our clients. Act as a “culture-first” resource to others in the resolution of complex problems/issuesMinimum Qualifications:
B.A. or B.S., preferably in Marketing, Advertising, humanities, liberal arts, or related fields 4+ years of experience in media planning/strategy Media agency experience highly preferred Strong knowledge of all cross-channel media, with a drive for curiosity and passion for the client’s business Demonstrate ability to learn new propriety software and processes quickly and proficiently Exceptional written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentation Minimal supervision, relies on experience/judgment Understanding of Activation/Negotiation team functions Understand the capabilities of each media channel to maximize the impact and components within each campaign Able to make independent decisions and identify priorities Meet client and internal deadlines and obligations Manage projects, resources, stakeholders, and participants Orient, train, assign and review the work of direct reports Be able to identify and promote solutions Be a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems/issuesSoftware Knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Nielsen Suite, Kantar, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, comScore, Prisma, MBOX, MRI/GfK, GWI. Must understand its capabilities and applications to translate data into actionable culture-first insights
