The Surgical Equipment Tech works under the supervision of the Manager to provide technical support of the surgical patient.

·Organizes electrical equipment, establishes the sterile field, and provides support for the surgical team.

·Knowledgeable in the practice of aseptic technique in the operating room environment.

·acts as a liaison between Materials Management, Biomedical Department, and the Operating Room.

Position Pay Range: $23.46-$29.25/hour

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state. Required Qualifications:

Must have knowledge of technical equipment used in the Surgery department Must meet annual Peri-operative service partner competencies Ability to speak, read, and follow directions in English Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment Ability to work with heavy equipment, including large OR beds Computer skills including keyboarding High school diploma BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association (AHA)
