Role Overview:

Our client seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong manufacturing background. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Quality Control and Assurance and a commitment to maintaining high standards. This role involves establishing quality procedures, collaborating with other departments on continuous improvements, and leading the on-site Quality team to ensure process adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections and analyze data to improve the Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to protocols.
  • Manage and document quality assurance processes, including procedures and work instructions.
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues and enhance process efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance protocols and inspection procedures.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers to address quality concerns.
  • Provide training on quality assurance processes and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • High attention to detail to ensure consistent quality standards.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering schematics and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), 3D CAD models, and AS9102 First Article Inspections.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in quality assurance/control.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9120, or ISO13485).
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and the use of quality control tools.
