Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Project Manager - Transit, we'll count on you to:

Plan, manage, or perform the role of consultant for small to large multi-discipline transit projects. Develop project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables. Ensure project scope and resources align with client goals, stakeholder requirements, and HDR processes. Participate in contract negotiations. Develop and manage project budgets, track project expenses, monitor project financial performance, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle. Participate in internal project management reviews and provide financial updates through HDR’s financial tracking tools. Independently coordinate work across a multidisciplinary team, including planners, engineers, communications staff, and more, balance the team resources and involvement throughout the project, and ensure the completion of documents on schedule. Identify project risks and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies throughout the project. Establish client relations with transit clients across the state of Georgia and be involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings. Serve as a mentor to junior staff. Carry out HDR's quality assurance management processes and standards for managed projects. Serve as HDR's representative at various industry functions and events. Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate and adjust work efforts with the team to ensure that work is completed within the scope parameters and agreed-to schedule. Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed. Provide industry and client insight and direction to area and national leadership.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

 
• Bachelor's degree in related field 
• 10 years related experience 
• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience 
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software (Primavera P3 or SureTrak preferred), project
 management software (Prolog preferred) 
• Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and
 communication (both written and verbal) skills 
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must 
Preferred Qualifications 
• A license/certification may be required 
• PMP certification
