Assistant Operations Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY
Oversee and participate in warehouse functions for wholesale distribution including receiving, inventory management and distribution, and maintenance of equipment and facility. Ensure that all safety and loss prevention procedures are followed.shift begins Monday - Friday at 8:00pm with Saturday rotations.
This position is exempt.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, oversee and participate in warehouse operations to deliver outstanding customer serviceSupervise and assists receiving, restocking, inventory control, pulling and preparing orders, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, shipping order and product returnsHire, train, develop and evaluate associatesEnsure cycle counting is doneEnsure quality of work by warehouse staffAssure administrative functions are completed timelyMaintain physical facility to ensure adequate safety, protect against loss, and present a professional company imageMay be required to back up delivery driversOutstanding customer servicePhysical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel / composite toe boots.Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent.QUALIFICATIONS
3 years of fleet management and logistics experience3 years warehouse related experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceFoundation level of business and financial acumenExecutes and makes plans to deliver business metricsKnowledgeable in material handling and inventory documentationCritical decision-making capability with a strategic mindsetCapacity to influence others through coaching, servant leadership, collaboration and employee engagementMonitors accountability to drive results for optimal performanceOutstanding organizational skillsDemonstrates self-awareness by using feedback and reflection to grow individual continuous improvementRecognizes and values the different perspectives and culture individual team members bring to the organizationAbility to project a positive image to customersKnowledgeable in applicable computer softwareAbility to lift to 65 lbs oftenAble to operate warehouse equipmentValid driver’s license with a good driving recordSuccessfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)U.S. Venture requires that a team member have and maintain authorization to work in the country in which the role is based.
