Responsibilities*

Collaborate with the Radiology General Imaging Manager in overall operation of the Unit, work together to enhance patient, customer, and employee satisfaction.

Must monitor, document, and resolve operational issues as they affect the site. Will also expedite and coordinate patient flow, coordinate staffing levels across all areas of responsibility.

Perform and support duties as directed by the Radiology General Imaging Manager. The Radiology Supervisor will serve as a liaison between technical staff, faculty, and clerical staff. Supervisor will also have authority to hire, fire, provide discipline, evaluate technical staff including the necessary documentation to perform annual evaluations.

Will assist with resolution of image quality issues and be responsible for process improvement implementation to include Joint Commission readiness.

Serves as a role model for exemplary customer service and endeavors to coach and motivate staff to ensure technical and clinical competency as well as excel in the Radiology philosophy of upholding a gold standard in customer service performance. In addition, each Radiology employee is expected to understand and demonstrate the principles of Patient and Family Centered Care and apply them to every interaction with patients, families, and each respective team member. The supervisor must practice and teach service excellence skills in the working environment.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor's degree in a related health science or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. Qualified candidates have graduated from an accredited school for radiologic technology or related field. A.R.R.T. certification and five years of progressive radiology experience. Must be able to problem-solve using good judgment. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to positively represent the department to internal and external customers. Effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a timely manner. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.  Technical expertise in adult imaging techniques.

Desired Qualifications*

Proficiency with computer systems and PACS. Proven on the job leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to problem solve, address staffing needs, and meet operational needs.

Work Schedule

Hours of position could vary based on area and management needs, but typically 3p-11p.This is an on-site role.
