Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. Six (6) combined years of continuous improvement experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, logistics/distribution, transactional/office settings and/or continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, 3MEx, etc.).Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
In-depth understanding of how to approach improving site/function level metrics such as revenue/TVOS, manufacturing expenses, margin, backlog, turnaround time, labor productivity, machine productivity, inventory, lead time, capacity, etc. Experience with an array of improvement approaches:Capable of executing/ leading Continuous Improvement projects and Kaizen Events‘Daily Management’ ImprovementsDevelopment/refinement of Tier boards, Tier meetings for the purpose of employee engagement and continuous improvement.Understands connection(s) between tools, projects, daily management, and subsequent impact on operational and financial metrics. Effective facilitation, communication, and teaching/coaching skillsWork location: On-site at Hutchinson, MN
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
