Licensed Practical NurseThomasville, GA | Temp to Perm | $18.00 - $26.50 / HourA doctor's office is looking for an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to help with wellness checks, sick checks, and minor procedures. This company specializes in improving the lives of those with disabilities by building social skills. You will be expected to take ownership of your position, completing tasks in a timely manner and treating each client with specialized care.ResponsibilitiesSchedule and coordinate patient and doctor appointmentsAssist doctors and nurse practitioners with examination, treatments, special tests, and proceduresReview patient charts, check in patients, obtain and record patient’s weights, blood pressure, urine samples, blood samples, and medical historyAssess reasons for patient visitsRecord and report observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in the patients’ conditionsPerform a variety of pre-examination work on patientsTransport patients to and from vehicles via wheelchairsAdminister medication and apply sterile dressingsMaintain and stock inventory and clinical supplies as neededEducate patients regarding health related issuesCoordinate labeling, delivery, and receipt of laboratory specimens and resultsProvide information and coordinate follow up visits regarding laboratory resultsConduct a minimum of 10 weekly chart auditsDocuments QI indicators in E-ClinicalCoordinate referrals and transportation to these appointments if neededArrange appointments for radiology test and proceduresMonitors and maintains GRITS inventory. Performs monthly inventory count and submits to VFCSupervise and delegate duties to MA and CNADelegate absentees' routine tasks to othersPerform telephone triage and assess patient problems and act accordingly to written protocols Answer nurse calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding prescriptions, lab resultsMonitor and maintain AED, crash cart and O2.
