Description

The overriding mission of the School is to develop and maintain a Roman Catholic School Faith Community while offering a quality education that meets the needs of its students and applicable educational standards. The School environment is intended to reflect the doctrines, laws, norms and values of the Roman Catholic Church and a philosophy of education which fosters Catholic values for the entire School community. All your duties and responsibilities shall be performed within this overriding commitment to the School’s mission and ministry. Faculty are expected to model, teach, and promote behavior in conformity with the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church as well as understand and accept that the values of Christian charity, temperance and tolerance.

Provide a significant presence on campus and represent the faith within the immediate school environment and surrounding community Design, develop, evaluate, and continually update the campus ministry program Work closely with the principal on all aspects of campus ministry, including recruiting, orienting and supervising both student and adult leaders Embrace a collaborative approach in working with students, staff, administration and parents, and a “team” approach to ministry Work closely with the students to plan and execute ministry programs, as well as offer leadership opportunities, and pastoral & staff services to the students when appropriate Plan school liturgies and other prayer services/religious events, including student & faculty retreats Schedule priests to provide the opportunity for students to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and spiritual counseling Manage administrative and planning details for larger student-related projects Conduct regularly scheduled peer minister meetings Directly supervise student peer ministers and other student leaders of the community Promote opportunities for awareness & education relative to vocations to priesthood & religious life Collaborate, Religion Department chairperson and teachers in facilitating various Christian service activities Be an effective liaison with neighboring youth/junior high school ministry programs and with local parish youth, liturgy and music ministers Coordinate a calendar of campus ministry activities and ensure publication in school media Follow school protocol regarding financial procedures Participate in ongoing education and formation opportunities for campus ministry programs Maintain accurate Christian Service records records Other related duties assigned by the Principal

Requirements

B.A. or B.S. in Mathematics (or related field) Excellent classroom management Strong collaboration, communication and organizational skills Willingness to implement classroom technology, including 1-to-1 instruction Teaching experience in mathematics preferred Clear Single-Subject Mathematics Credential or Masters Degree preferred

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
